TCR Accessibility Plan


Our Commitment

Total Credit Recovery Limited (TCR) strives at all times to meet the needs of its employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard to remove and prevent barriers to accessibility. Our organization is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). This accessibility plan outlines the steps TCR is taking to meet those requirements and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

Customer Service

TCR is committed to providing accessible customer service to people with disabilities. We provide all services to people with disabilities with the same high quality and timeliness as others. TCR is committed to providing communication methods to remove barriers for people with disabilities, training employees to familiarize themselves with communication, equipment and support devices and tools such as service animals. TCR has implemented an Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA) Policy which outlines the responsibilities of employees and others who deal with the public on behalf of TCR in providing goods and services to people with disabilities in compliance with the AODA.

Accessible Emergency and Public Safety Information

TCR is committed to providing publicly available emergency information in an accessible way upon request. Employees with disabilities will be provided with individualized emergency response information when needed.

Information and Communications

TCR is committed to making our information and communications accessible to people with disabilities. TCR’s services, policies, and procedures are available in alternate accessible formats to take into account the diverse requirements of persons with disabilities. TCR’s website and web content has been assessed and evaluated for accessibility to ensure compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA.

TCR will ensure that persons with disabilities are afforded the opportunity to provide feedback to us in a way that is accessible. Feedback regarding the way TCR provides services to people with disabilities may be directed to TCR via telephone at 416-774-4106, e-mail at HR@tcr.ca or through our website. All feedback will remain confidential and will be:

  • Directed to the Human Resources Department
  • Responded to in five (5) days

Employment

TCR is committed to a fair and accessible employment practices across all stages of the employment cycle. TCR will, upon request, accommodate people with disabilities during the recruitment and assessment processes and when people are hired. TCR is committed to preventing and removing any other accessibility barriers identified and brought to our attention. TCR will:

  • Develop individual accommodation plans and return to work plans for employees that have been absent due to a disability as necessary;
  • Respond to requests for accommodation from employees in an open and timely way; and
  • Work collaboratively with employees to develop individual accommodation plans.

Training

TCR is committed to providing training in accordance with the requirements set out in AODA’s Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulations and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it applies to people with disabilities. TCR has trained its employees on how to communicate and provide the best possible customer service to persons with disabilities. TCR will continue to provide training to all employees and any other person having contact with people on behalf of TCR on how to identify, communicate with and provide accessible service to people with disabilities. We will ensure our employees have the knowledge and skills to meet AODA requirements and maintain records of all training provided.

Review

This plan will be reviewed and updated on a yearly basis.
